Many of us won't soon forget the winter storm of 2021! Love was in the air as we approached Valentine's Day but so was a wintry mix for all of Texas. As the snow began to fall, and the temperatures began to plummet, it became increasingly clear that this storm would be like nothing the state had experienced. So many stories of survival that many have shared as thousands across the state endured days without power, water, and food. Thank you to the heroism of individuals that stepped up to be good Samaritans during this unprecedented time of need. The BarbaraCares Foundation also answered the call to provide assistance to all former and current grant recipients to ensure individuals and families had finances to purchase meals and water during the winter storm crisis.
We are sensitive to the needs of the community and BarbaraCares was humbled to do our part to give back to those in need. As we return to some sense of normalcy, we are reminded that we are here for a purpose to serve others every opportunity that we have. We sincerely hope everyone is safe and we certainly won't miss the snow anytime soon... but we do miss our BarbaraCares Snowwoman!
