Pathways Rhythms January 2022 Practice of the Month Our contemplative practice for January is “Being Here.” Despite uncertainty and disorder, the present moment is a great opportunity to awaken to deeper transformation, love, and hope. Amid the widespread need for healing, reality offers us an invitation to depth—to discover what is lasting and what matters. Here Here I am Here I am with you Here is all of me Here we are Here Candlemas and Crepes Wednesday, January 26 - 7 pm The celebration of Candlemas on the 40th day of the Christmas/Epiphany season, originated in the late fifth century as a day of light and hope. In some parts of Europe, such as France, people prepare and cook crepes to celebrate Candlemas. On Wednesday, January 26, 7pm, you are invited to our Candlemas and Crepes Celebration on Zoom. In this simple service of light and blessing, the candles to be used this year at Pathways Retreat will be blessed. You are welcome to gather your own candles to be blessed as well. Here’s a recipe for crepes for you to enjoy before or after the celebration. Ash Wednesday Service Wednesday, March 2 - noon Pathways Retreat’s annual noon Ash Wednesday service will be on March 2. Save the Date and watch future newsletters and our website to see if the service will be on zoom or in-person.
