the Elders this week discussed steps we should take to be prepared and stay healthy. We are blessed as a church with medical professionals. The staff will be reviewing with them best practices. If you are feeling sick or have flu like symptoms, we encourage you to stay home and rest. We think it's wise in this season for us to avoid shaking hands, perhaps opting instead for a fist bump or placing your hand over your heart as a gesture of love and welcome. Those preparing communion for this Sunday will wash their hands thoroughly and be gloved. The cups will have undergone a sanitary bleach wash. We want to be prepared and prayerful but we don't want to panic. As one church put it: "We will remain united in love for God and our love for community, even as we remind everyone we meet to "wash their hands."
