SOUTHBRIDGE HOMEPAGE GETS FACELIFT

Picture

The Southbridge website homepage has been updated with an inviting entrance photo, statistics in the text and additional photographs in the slideshow. Thanks to the ongoing care by our vendors, Estate Landscaping and Ryan's Tree Service, Southbridge has never looked more beautiful, and the slideshow captures it. And thanks to all of our residents, especially Kim Adams and Charlie Egli, who have contributed their photographs.

Realtors frequently introduce Southbridge to prospective buyers by sending them to the website homepage, but the rest of the website contains interesting information as well. Explore some of the links to find ideas of what to do on a rainy day, reminisce over past social events, and find out who your neighbors are.

BEST-SELLING AUTHOR MOLLY JEBBER RELEASES NEW BOOK

Picture
Molly Jebber

Southbridge resident Molly Jebber is an award-winning Amish Historical Romance author whose books have made Publisher’s Weekly, Romance Writers of America’s Honor Roll, and resulted in media attention worldwide including a television news interview, & USA Today.

Jebber's latest book is Maryann's Hope, part of the Amish Charm Bakery series, and available on Amazon both for Kindle and in paperback. As the promo promises: The pleasing warmth of fresh-baked maple cookies...the sweet, buttery flakiness of a raspberry jam pastry. In 1913 Ohio, the Amish Charm Bakery is beloved by locals and visiting Englischer alike. And its understanding community always provides help, healing--and new chances for love...even for a widow faced with an impossible choice between her head and her heart.

But in the true sense of "don't judge a book by it's cover," Jebber's books aren't all sweetness and raspberry jam - the plots have included intrigue, kidnapping, murder, and betrayal.

Molly lives in Southbridge with her husband, Ed; you can often find her writing by the pool in the sunshine. They are looking forward to being grandparents in July.

The Center for the Visual Arts in Bonita Springs named Millie Morrison the recipient of the Sally Grugan Merit award at the Members Only Exhibit in February 2021. The opening reception will not be held this year, but gallery visitors are welcome.

NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS

Picture
January 2020 "Welcome Back" Brunch

Although Covid has taken its toll in our community, and continues to frustrate residents who would like to be participating in the "usual" social events, Southbridge residents have risen to new heights of neighborliness.

  • Residents who have appointments  for vaccine shots continue to go online in the early morning to try to get appointments for their neighbors.
  • Other residents have driven neighbors to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Tampa, to help them get to their appointments.

It's quintessential Southbridge - residents banding together to help each other to "serve the greater good!"
