THANK YOU!
Parents, thank you so much for the tremendous donations you've given to the PTO in the last few weeks. Your gifts have offset the drop in our other sources of funding and will help the PTO continue to offer the popular programs and events that bring our community together.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE HELPING ENGLISH LEARNERS IN REDWOOD CITY SCHOOLS
Los Ayudantes, an award-winning, literacy non-profit in Redwood City, has an immediate need for classroom volunteers! No special training is needed to be a volunteer, and the only requirement is the desire to make a difference. Los Ayudantes (translated..."The Helpers) is passionate about helping English learners reach grade level proficiency so they can be successful in high school and beyond.
At McKinley Institute of Technology middle school, volunteers can come for the one-hour literacy classes from 10:12-11:07 on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday. Volunteers will be working one-on-one or with small groups of students on reading comprehension. At Fair Oaks Elementary School, volunteers are needed every Thursday from 1:45 to 3:15 to head small group book clubs at the school's aftercare program. To learn more, contact Jenni Farrell at [email protected]. Visit our website: www.losayudantes.org
