Colorado Gives Day is on December 10, but early giving has started. We know that this has been a challenging time for many, and we are committed to creating a more equitable future for children and youth in Boulder and beyond. With your support we can work towards our vision.
Growing Up Boulder hears from kids in Boulder about issues like mental health, safe transportation, policing, and climate change. When kids present their ideas to decision-makers—city staff, elected officials, and school leaders— your donation enables them to turn their vision into reality. Kids involved in our projects consistently feel more empowered, and many go on to become leaders themselves. Thanks to people like you, young people have been shaping our community for over 15 years! Your support also lets us bring our Growing Up Boulder model to communities everywhere, helping cities uplift young voices.
When you give, you make sure all kids have a voice, especially those who need it most. All of our programs are free, and over half of the kids we work with are Black, Brown, Indigenous, LGBTQ, immigrants, have disabilities, or come from low-income families. With an incredibly lean team, we reach and work closely with over 1,000 kids each year to make sure kids know they matter and thrive. This is where your donation makes a significant impact.

UNICEF Child Friendly Cities Initiative Youth Action Plan Workshop #2
| |
On Wednesday, November 13th, we hosted our second Youth Action Planning Workshop, bringing together almost 30 young people from diverse organizations and communities across Boulder. A special thank you to the Youth Opportunities Advisory Board (YOAB) for their invaluable role in facilitating discussions around the key priorities that will shape the Youth Action Plan, which is set to launch in the spring of 2025. Their insights and contributions are helping guide this important initiative toward creating a brighter future for youth in our community. | |
