On behalf of the PTO we want to wish you a safe, happy, and healthy winter break.
There is magic in our community and its schools. Despite the challenges of this year, our school communities showed off their abilities to pivot and adapt to change throughout this pandemic and especially during this holiday season when, as per the rest of 2020, nothing is quite the same. Some highlights of our schools' holiday celebrations include:
- Ormondale’s Winter Holiday Zoom Concert, with over 145 kids’ sweet faces singing Holiday songs. You could feel the spirit jumping out of the screen!
- Ormondale’s 2nd Harvest Virtual Food Drive including the second grade students “MOVING FOR MEALS” event to help raise funds.
- CMS Student Council Toy Drive for the Good Tidings Foundation - the bins were overflowing!
- A little holiday surprise delivered to all students at home (thanks again awesome PTO helpers!).
- PTO “Holiday Thanks” coffee/breakfast for ORM and CMS staff Monday morning along with many cards and gifts delivered to staff from families throughout this week. We are grateful for our phenomenal teachers and staff members!
- A variety of class holiday celebrations - the celebrations may be different this year, but there is still much to celebrate!
May we look to 2021 for allowing new opportunities and yet keeping us connected with the strength, creativity, and inner joy we demonstrated in 2020.
With love, Sara Atkins, Ormondale PTO President Kit Antovich, Ormondale PTO VP Aimee Blum, CMS PTO President Sangini Majmudar Bedner, CMS PTO VP
