My friend gifted these to me; they were her mother's. Her mother died recently, and I don't know what to do with them.
I grabbed a purple Kate Spade women's wallet and a necklace.
The wallet was too beautiful to be thrown away or left lying around. I wanted to use it in an image.
I opened the wallet, and immediately a heart-shaped leaf fell out and landed on the wood floor.
I picked it up and looked at it.
It was smaller than a fingernail and, to me, looked like a jagged heart.

I pulled out the wallet and told him about the wallet's history and the leaf that fell out.
After I did so, it effortlessly fell apart in my fingers.
It came apart right down the middle, and the dry, flaky leaf fell onto the car floor.
As we arrived at our location for the shoot, two almost identical-looking cats sat at the end of the driveway we had pulled into.
Both of them stared at us quietly.
The headlights reflected green and red off the cats' eyes.
It almost seemed like they were anticipating our arrival.
An uncanny energy was present and remained so for the rest of the night.
Felt and acknowledged by both of us.
