January 5th, 2025 North/Northwest Area Past 72 hours: 8-13" Inches Past 7 Days: 30-34" Inches Current Base: 4-5' Feet (Ideally want 5+ feet) South/Southeast Area Past 72 hours: 6-8" Inches Past 7 Days: 24-34" Inches Current Base: ~3' Feet (Ideally want 4+ feet) Summary Things are getting better on the range with reports from guests saying that there's good snow but still can feel a lot of landmines. Seems that the snow combined with the wind is making for deeper areas in the bowls/protected areas and scarce snow on the high/wind prone areas. We are now getting the snow, but will need some sun to settle into a developed base. It is currently snowing on and off with expectations of 6-12" over the next 3 days and continuing storms through the week and another 9-18" next weekend. Again, the snow is here. Looks like we might get a good sunny and calm day on Wednesday to hopefully set this snow up and improve the base more. We have had a few reports of Avalanche activity in the area of Lake Marie as well as the back side of the Range South of Dipper Lake.
