Mother's Day is this weekend, and we have a great variety of thoughtful and local gifts for the mom in your life.

Herb Gardens + Hanging Baskets

Herb gardens are perfect for those who love to cook with fresh herbs, and colorful hanging baskets liven up any porch or deck. All of our plants are always locally and organically grown.

Mother's Day Gift Baskets

As always, we have some beautifully curated gift baskets that compliment a variety of interests. We also have empty baskets that you can build to your mother's heart's content.

Flower Bouquets

Because everyone loved them so much last year, we will again offer flower bouquets in vintage vases using organically grown flowers from right here on the farm. They will come in a variety of sizes and arrangements.

The beauty outside the store is due to Kim Bradford. Happy Mother's Day, Kim!

Beautiful Bowl Covers

Stephanie, from A Small Change (Davidson, NC), repurposes embroidered and vintage linens to create bowl, pie, and jar/mug covers that are absolutely beautiful! They make the perfect gift, and encourage a healthier planet by reducing the use of plastic film and foil.

Bird Baths + Feeders

For those moms that love nature and the outdoors, we have a collection of amazing bird baths/feeders that are made from thoughtfully upcycled materials by Designs by Darya (China Grove, NC). They are truly one of a kind.

All are welcome to join us for a free herbalism workshop and garden tea party! Seating is limited. Tea cup sets will be available for purchase, if desired.

The cabin bookstore will now be open during all of our regular business hours, starting Saturday 5/13.

As always, we welcome pets, but they must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after.

We love having you bring your family to spend time with us on the farm. Please be sure to monitor that your children are staying within the vicinity of the store, barn and cabin, and are properly disposing of trash/ recycling (specifically frozen treat wrappers and popsicle sticks). Thank you for your help in keeping the farm, and our planet, clean and beautiful.

North Carolina has a wonderfully long growing season which means there is still so much time to get your garden planted. We have a great selection of vegetable plant starts that are waiting for their new homes. Starting this week, take 20% off all remaining vegetable plant starts: tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, kales, broccoli, cauliflower, collards, Brussels sprouts, cabbages, Swiss chard, spinach, beans, onions and squashes. We are also offering 30% off all remaining strawberry plants.

We would love to be the first place you stop on your weekly shopping trip. When you purchase $150+ in grocery, household, and personal care essentialsyou automatically receive 10% off those items. This includes, but is not limited to: produce, meat, dairy, canned goods, coffee, bread, oral care, soaps, shampoos + conditioners, feminine care products, laundry detergent, dish washing products, and more!

In order to be more sustainable in our daily operations, we ask that you bring your reusable bag(s) when you shop with us. We have many wonderful bags available for purchase here in the store, all of which give back to the environment with each sale.

We have paper bags available for a fee... while they last.

Fact of the Week:  "Celebrations of mothers and motherhood can be traced back to the ancient Greeks and Romans...but the clearest modern precedent for Mother's Day is the early Christian festival known as 'Mothering Sunday'" ( You can read more about the history of Mother's Day here.
