LARRY'S LATEST BOOK is scheduled to roll off the press just before Christmas.  Tennessee Wilderness is a pictorial essay of woods and waters... it is a time capsule of natural beauty, a display of those who are charged with its perpetuation and a legacy of forever wild things and places in Tennessee.  With over 200 pages filled with vibrant photographs by pro photographer Tom Wood, it makes a wonderful coffee table volume to view over and over.  Larry's narrative provides an overview of early exploration and the conservation movement in Tennessee.  In addition, there are over 20 quotes from notables like BassPro owner, Johnny Morris, NFL great Peyton Manning, professional fisherman Bill Dance and famous singer-songwriter Dolly Parton, all sharing with you why they love Tennessee's natural beauty. The book is being published by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation in Nashville.  Email [email protected] if you would like a copy.  The book is $39.95 plus $5 for shipping and handling.  Sorry, we can't promise pre-Christmas delivery. By the way, you can see the good conservation work of TWRF at www.twrf.net.

The CUMBERLAND RIVER art exhibit has just finished a four month tour in Kentucky and now moves to Nashville's University Club on the Vanderbilt University campus in January.  Twenty paintings feature scenes of the 700-mile long river from Harlan, Kentucky to the Ohio River.  Everyone is invited to a reception January 19, 5 - 7 p.m.  The show will be installed January 5 and on display until February 28.  All paintings in the exhibit are for sale.  The location is 2402 Garland Avenue just east of the athletic complex.  To view the paintings and for more information about this project, see www.cumberlandriverartist.com.
