update

Spring

I seem to always get my 'seasonal' emails out on the last day of the season! As a result, I'm calling this my Spring one - as tomorrow is the official start of the season - but in truth it's full of wintery things. I'm looking forward to up-coming portrait shoots​ and parties - get in touch if you'd like to make the most of the season and don't miss my annual give-away below.  I've kept looking at this year's seeds and thinking 'I'll plant you once my email's out!', so I'm off to plant for the summer!

COMMERCIAL​

I love working with local people & businesses - recently it's been shooting a self-catering in an old Chapel as well as working with the wonderful Sarah Newby to get her Beyond Fitness with Sarah website online.

GARDEns & outdoors

Garden-lovers, join me in my winter visit to Holehird Gardens on my blog here. Fell-lovers, there's been a couple of journeys up Hartsop above How​ & Gowbarrow​ - ticking more off my Wainwright list!

Three favourite things at the mo:

If you are at all like me, you'll find it hard to think of favourite things in the midst of rainy days but it's good practice to be thankful - even in February:

  1. Dorothy Wordsworth's Grasmere Journal I often doff my invisible cap to the Wordsworth's when I pass through the churchyard at St. Oswald's Churchyard in Grasmere.  It's been a real pleasure to begin reading Dorothy's memoir from normal day-to-day life in 1800s. 
  2. Short Film by Kate Hammer A little bit of silliness from BBC Scotland Comedy.  It reminded me of a student film I made for an Adobe course years ago​​
  3. No link for this one but enjoying celebrating my little sister's recent engagement and all the craziness and fun that is on the family - not professional - side of a wedding!
