Adult Class: Guiding the Faith Formation of our Children

He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.” Matthew 18:3

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

We can learn a lot from Jesus’ interactions with children in the Bible. As we read these words that Jesus spoke we can see that by being in the presence of children, we are being prepared to experience the kingdom. Whether parents, grandparent, single, or married, we can all learn so much from our children. As a church, we want to nurture our children in a faith that’s deep and wide, to support families as they nurture faith at home, to call and equip leaders who will share the love of Christ with children and learn the very insights Jesus refers to in the passage above. Please join us THIS SUNDAY @ 9:15am as we take a closer look at the faith formation of our children, our individual roles, and discover what we can learn from each other!

Second Offering

In an effort to support struggling mothers this Mother’s Day, Sunday's offering is designated for the YWCA's Other Bank.

The Other Bank offers toiletries and household cleaning supplies, making it possible for low-income families to gain the confidence to address the bigger things in life. We also support this ministry by collecting supplies throughout the year.

(see the baskets near the mailboxes).
