Pine Ridge PTO Newsletter

October 12, 2018

Happy Friday and Happy Fall, Ranger Families! Since my last newsletter, we’ve celebrated FHC Homecoming and our 2018 Ranger Rally. September was such a fun month! Stay tuned for a special newsletter coming out soon with highlights from the Ranger Rally and shout-outs to all our amazing sponsors and volunteers. I can’t wait to share details of our successful fundraiser- including the records we broke at Culver’s and how much the 4th grade classes brought in for coin wars! (Spoiler- It was A LOT!) The FHC Homecoming Tailgate and Parade was so much fun, even with a bit of rain. The fourth graders did a fantastic job on their float and I enjoyed seeing many families at our PTO tailgate both during and after the parade. It was great to connect with the larger FHC community through these events!

This month brings the excitement of Halloween including class celebrations and a costume parade. The parade starts at 1:30 and class celebrations follow immediately after the parade (Wednesday, October 31). These events are always well attended by families (hint, hint...get here early!). We do offer babysitting during the party for $5/child. A big thanks goes out to Corri Sandwick for organizing this! If you would like your younger child to attend, contact her at c[email protected].

Finally, would you like an easy way to encourage Pine Ridge teachers and staff? The PTO stocked the “coffee cupboard” with K-cups before school started but supply levels are (dangerously-haha) low. We can all appreciate the amount of coffee it takes to keep up with our kiddos! Our PTO would love to continue supplying coffee. K-Cup donations are welcome and can be dropped off in the office.

Warmly,

Britt Metzger

PTO President
