hope & healing news for you

A Message From Our Executive Director, Kimberly Remak

DeSoto County,

We know that the last several weeks have been hard hit for our community due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic.

Our charitable health clinic is needed now more than ever and we're working hard to collect donations to open as soon as we can. With a record number of unemployment in our state, and thousands who are working to make ends meet, we want you to know that we are here for you through this difficult time.

We are encouraged by our community of changemakers and healthcare heroes who are in the trenches every day working to make an impact in our community by providing DIY personal protective equipment, providing food donations, donating blood, and sharing creative ways to uplift our community.

Speaking of uplifting our community, this week is National Volunteer Week and on Tuesday we had volunteers helping us sort through donated medical supplies for our clinic. As we prepare to open, we will be sharing more volunteer opportunities in the future. For now, if you're interested in volunteering in a non-medical or medical role, please reach out to us here and visit our volunteer page here.

We have some exciting partnerships with the community that we will be able to announce in the coming weeks but for now we ask that you continue to pray for our volunteers, staff, and especially the community in which we will serve in the coming months as we offer hope and healing to them.

God bless you and your family during this time. Stay healthy, y'all.

Meet our Board of Directors

Thank you, Lorine Cady, DeSoto County Supervisor Lee Caldwell, George Carnall, Pastor Patrick Conrad, Vance Daly, Dr. Vivian Lo, Pastor Andrew Miller, Pastor Bartholomew Orr, State Senator Dr. David Parker, Rick Sparkman, Sunny Stuckey and Advisors Kim Smith and Betty Carson of ECHO, Church Health.

Learn more about our Part-Time Medical Director, Dr. Patrick Ball

We're blessed to welcome a local Healthcare Hero to our team! We recently hired our part-time Medical Doctor to spearhead its patient care efforts.

Dr. Patrick Ball is a family medicine physician who received his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences and has been practicing medicine in Mississippi for sixteen years.

“Calling to serve as part-time director of Trinity Health Center is a direct result of having watched my father, a physician, provide both medical and spiritual care for his patients in small town Batesville, Mississippi,” said Ball. “Through these early life experiences, it impressed on me that we are to use our resources and our opportunities to help those around us.”
