The ninos of Escuela play and work together whether it is learning how to tie balloons or try out new yoga positions. With the age range of 3-5 years old, they help each other and understand how cooperation and collaboration are the keys to their success.

The ninos twist into their yoga positions twice a week: What a wonderful habit to develop at such a young age! Their parents requested English language lessons, so twice a week they are also learning from local volunteers who use humor and nutrition to teach basic English words.

Our master teacher, Dulce, leads them in daily math and language arts lessons. She teaches and demonstrates an activity; the ninos watch and learn from each other.

To welcome Spring every year, the ninos dress up and parade into the town plaza. Parents make the costumes, and a festive time is had by all!

Mexico celebrates Children's Day with festivals at all the schools. Ours is no different; the ninos dress in their best clothes to dance, play games and take turns swinging at the pinatas.
