Regattas We plan to attend the following regattas this summer: Independence Day Regatta 7/1 Philadelphia Youth Regatta 7/22 or 7/23 Overpeck Summer Sprints 7/30 Canadian Henley 8/6-8/13 Registrations are going to be open in the middle of May. Please check GroupSpot and our website for details. Food Tent Update Hello Parents, As we plan for the upcoming two day regattas a few observations I wanted to share. We have to pack the chuckwagon the day before a regatta so sometimes that’s might be in the middle of the day on Friday. If you can’t make the selected time please have someone else drop off your items. Consider volunteering to drive the chuckwagon sadly it can’t drive itself! Even though we love our rowers the meatballs don’t have to be grandmas old secret receipe for turkey meatballs. The team has been eating frozen BJ’s meatballs all season so far and loving them!Regattas will require enough supplies for two days so the quantities will increase. Each regatta requires 8 volunteers to help with food tent duties. If you have worked a regatta you know it’s a long exhausting day! Even if you have completed your volunteer duties with food supplies back home, consider volunteering at food tent before the end of the season to give our team a break. Spectators if you rsvp’d to watch your rower race feel free to lend a helping hand to the food tent volunteers some have been there all day! Cities 5/6 & 5/7. Parent volunteers needed for 5/6 not 5/7. Mid-Atlantics 5/13 & 5/14 no food tent, chuckwagon or volunteers needed. If you volunteered for a day we will not have a food tent please reconsider another date those signups have been removed. The full food tent and volunteers return during stotes so please consider volunteering. Signups for the month of May are all posted and can be found under signups pic in comments where to find it. If regattas don’t have enough signups moving forward Food will not be provided. You can also find FAQ’s and documents under attachments for the food tent. I Look forward to a successful remaining season! Remember team work makes the dream work!
