MANDATORY MEETING Our last Mandatory meeting will be Tuesday, February 27 th at 7:30pm in the Campus Center for all parents. We will cover Row-a-Thon, spring season schedule and training, fundraising, logistics for Cities and Stotesbury Cup, pasta parties, nutrition. ROW-A-THON We’re launching Ridgewood Crew’s 2018 Row-a-Thon Campaign!! Our goal is to raise $25,000 . The event will be held on Saturday, March 24 th from 10AM to 3PM at Van Neste Square in Ridgewood. Each Rower is Required to raise a minimum of $300. (That’s $10 from 30 people, or $30 from 10 people, or $100 from 3 people, or 1 donation of $300). For those more aggressive with fundraising, there are some incentives... Top dollar amount raised over $1,500 receives a $600 Cash Card, 2nd Place will receive a $400 Cash Card and 3rd Place will receive a $200 Cash Card. CAPTAIN PRACTICES Early Morning Captain Practices – Not mandatory but suggested Monday , Wednesday and Friday mornings - 5:45am to 6:30am. Meet at the High School weight room. Coach Boris will confirm the morning practice after looking at the weather. He will do so around 9pm the night before. Only those athletes that are sleeping 8 or 9 hours will be allowed to run. If parents believe that their rowers have not slept enough, rowers will not be allowed to go to early practice. Going to the early morning practice without enough rest will have a negative result. Thanks, Boris EASTER BREAK SCHEDULE The Easter break schedule will be as follows for mandatory practice. The only day off will be Easter Sunday. Thursday March 29 - times/ location TBD. Friday March 30 - times/location TBD Saturday March 31 - times/location TBD Sunday April 1 - no practice. As soon as the spring schedule is finalized, the times and location for training will be updated. Practices will be held at PRAA or the High School. This will be last weekend of training before we begin our spring racing season with our first regatta on Sunday, April 8 in Philadelphia.
