Falcon Autosport VTCS Champion Crowned

Falcon Autosport congratulates Rob Hibbs from RH Designs Racing on winning the first season of the Falcon Autosport VTCS, clinching with two rounds remaining, with Drew from Team FASTER taking second place - for now. Second place is still up for grabs and several drivers are trying to take it. Anthony Foster from Foster Motorsports and Justin Dawson from Bad Luck Racing are close and looking to make their way up, and Adrian Cesinaro from Power Wheelz Racing and Ian King from Chasing Cars Racing are still in with a shot.

Rob, Drew, Adrian, and Nicolas Parent battled hard at Mid-Ohio. Almost too hard. Drew had to put the car sideways on three wheels to avoid bumping Adrian off-track in this photo.

VTCS Driver Awards Announced

All Driver Awards winners should contact Drew privately to claim their free merch sweater.

Champion - Rob Hibbs (Honda) shown deep in battle at Road America. Congrats on the win, truly deserved.

Picture

Most improved driver - Yiyang Shi (Ford) shown leading the race at Road America. Yiyang's average finishing position, gap to pole position in qualifying, and race result distance all greatly improved throughout the season, as well as consistency and race craft/awareness.

Picture

Camaraderie award - Justin Dawson (BMW) shown with his stylish Bad Luck Racing BMW M-Division paint splatter livery. This award is given to the driver who best displayed camaraderie with clean racing, clean driving, and a good attitude. In other words, the driver from the series you would rather have some drinks with or hang out with

Spirit of Falcon Award - Anthony Foster (Alfa Romeo) shown on two wheels on the way to a win at Road America Race 1. This award is given to the driver who races clean but hard. Anthony consistently gave other drivers space yet fought tough and hard. Anthony has, on average, had fewer car-to-car contact incidents than any other driver, despite never backing down from a battle. It's been amazing to race with you, Anthony!

Picture

Rookie of the Season - Tristin Gumiela (Audi) shown leading at CTMP GP, on his way to his highest result (5th place). This award is given to the highest scoring points position for a driver who had never raced in a sim racing series before this series.

Picture

Best qualifying - Anthony Foster (Alfa Romeo) shown on his way to a win at VIR. This award is given to the driver who most consistently qualified on pole position. The fastest driver on one-lap pace!

Picture

Most consistent driver - Rob Hibbs (Honda) shown on his way to a win at Mid-Ohio. It was a bad omen for other drivers (including Mike Kirby) when Rob appeared in your mirror. With Rob's consistency, he only finished off of the podium in two races, across the entire season so far. In 20 races, he was on the podium 18 times, with 9 wins. The next drivers in terms of win count are Drew Geier and Justin Dawson at four wins each, meaning that 17 of the 20 races were won by just three drivers. The remaining 3 races were won by Anthony Foster, with 3 wins. Rob's consistent wins and podiums were nothing short of incredible and he truly earned this award and this championship.

Picture

Most overtakes award - Drew Geier (Alfa Romeo) pictured on his way to the race 2 win at Road America. Drew battled against adversity in several races, frequently finding himself in unfortunate situations (including being spun or making mistakes) but getting it back on track and regaining positions. Hard charging does not begin to describe it. Drew acknowledges his weakness as being race starts/first laps where he was occasionally involved in crashes, although he worked hard on it throughout the season and eventually won from last place (after a bad start with a start lights malfunction) with no contact and no off-track moments at Road America (pictured)
