The weather is always a safe topic of conversation and since we live in the age of up-to-the-minute satellite images and weather forecasters it quickly becomes a topic that we sound knowledgeable about. But what if we no longer had the technology to tell us when to take a coat along or when to expect a Mother Nature to change her mind?

For some of us, we learned to tell what was going to happen with the weather from our parents and grandparents. They are well learned traditional ways of anticipating what is to come. You might laugh, but to this day, there are a lot of them we still use. 

So here's what has been going on around here . . .

I had a great day at the Hobbies From The Heart meeting new people and visiting with old acquaintances.  I am happy to say, that one of my large framed prints - Watching You - also found its forever home. Thank  you to everyone who came out to support local artisan entrepreneurs, small businesses and hobbiest. 

Winter weather keeps on keeping on and it looks like March will enter with some bluster. Here's hoping the old saying, "In like a lion and out like a lamb" will hold true. 

Started with a little spring cleaning much to the surprise to the man of the house. Seems he can't remember the last time he could see so much of my desk. Truth be told, neither can I. After the desk came the clear out of some files. What will be next?

Bar-B-Que Season is fast upon us. Well, except for those who stand out at -40 flipping burgers and steaks. For them, BBQ season is here year 'round. The thought of the taste of a steak fresh from the BBQ makes my mouth water. To add to that saliva enduced thought is a vision of Butter Medallions melting slowly, blending into the flavours of the meat. 



These tasty little  morsels are easy to make and add flavour the year round....
