July Sabbatical

Picture

Embodying our mission of rest, reflection, and renewal, Pathways will again take the month of July as sabbatical time. This means there will be no daily prayers or individual retreats scheduled during the month of July.

We will reopen to individual retreats August 1 and daily prayers will resume on August 8.

The Holy Spirit is our harpist,

and all the strings

Which are touched in love

must sound.

- Mechtild of Magdeburg (1207-1282)

Men, what kind of man do you want to be and how can you live a life that matters?  In this half-day retreat, we will...

  • examine the scripts we've been given,
  • explore what healthy masculinity looks like,
  • reconsider our purpose and roles in life.

This retreat draws from Living That Matters: Honest Conversations for Men of Faith (Herald Press, 2023), which each participant will receive.

Saturday, August 19, 8:30am - noon (begins with a light breakfast)
Suggested Donation: $30-50 (includes the book Living That Matters)
Facilitator: Steve Thomas
Space is limited to 12 participants

This group is for people who already know and practice TRE and is limited to six participants.

Creation Care Event

June 17, 9-11 am

Picture

During our June Creation Care work time we'll be focusing on removing invasive curly dock from our prairie strips.  By removing the seed heads before they become viable, we reduce the capacity of this weed to persist in our current prairies and to spread.  Volunteers will work in pairs to cut off the flowering seed heads and treat the stems.   If you plan on joining us, let our volunteer coordinator know to expect you by completing this 30 second survey.

Please dress in clothes suitable for outdoor work and bring work gloves, a water bottle, and sun protection.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our volunteer coordinator.  In the case of bad weather we will reschedule the work day, so check our website and social media for updates.
