vaccination
Beginning the week of February 22, the County of San Mateo began to expand COVID-19 vaccinations to teachers, child care providers, first responders, and food and agricultural workers. Many educators in our district have already had the opportunity to receive a vaccination and as we move forward and things slowly begin to feel closer to normal, let's all remember to continue to wash hands, wear a mask, distance and get tested regularly. We have worked so hard to keep this community safe and it is a relief to see a glimmer of hope.

daily health screener
Please complete the daily COVID-19 health screener for each child every morning before sending them to campus for in-person instruction. Note that only students who will attend in-person on-campus instruction for the day need to complete the form. This tool screens for positive test results, potential exposures, and COVID-suspect symptoms.

Common Ground Speaker Series: covid and chronic stress
Healthy Coping With Long-Term Pandemic Impacts
Thurs Mar 18, 7:00pm-8:15pm PT (Registration Coming Soon)
Robert M. Sapolsky, PhD and Nadine Burke Harris, MD, MPH, California Surgeon General
Moderated by Fumiko Hoeft, MD, PhD
As we mark an unwelcome anniversary, a year of pandemic, we’re asking what will the long-term effects of coping with Covid be? Social isolation, illness, delayed or distanced education and prolonged uncertainty create havoc on the mind and body. Three of the nation’s leading experts on chronic stress and learning and the brain come together to discuss the pandemic’s consequences and how families can mediate them.
For event details and the Winter/Spring Season Lineup visit the Common Ground website.
As a reminder, videos of prior Common Ground events are available on a password protected page on the Common Ground website. Please contact Anne Fazioli-Khiari ([email protected]) or Teri Wolf ([email protected]) for access.

ART TO REMEMBER
Guess what? We are extending the Art to Remember fundraiser until April 2, 2021.
Most teachers have uploaded the children's artwork onto the site, be sure to take a look. And remember, you can also upload any piece of artwork from home - even that precious piece from preschool that you want to commemorate! You can also upload multiple pieces of art (and for younger children - simply use your PVSD child’s portal).
You can select a piece of artwork from home and upload it by going to https://arttoremember.com/school/66XDGZ
and following these instructions:
- Go to the website listed above and enter your child’s first and last name and click “Search”
- From the list of search results, find your child’s name with “Spring2021” listed under it and click “Upload”/ Or if your child has already submitted artwork click on their picture
- Click “Choose a File” and select the piece of artwork you’d like to upload
- Edit artwork if necessary. Artwork will appear exactly as uploaded so please make sure you have any background cropped out
- Click “Next”
- Enter additional details (optional) and click “Finish”
- You’ll then have options to upload additional artwork for the same child, upload artwork for a different child, or view all of the artwork in your gallery. You can click on any of those options, or if you are ready to shop, click “Done”
- This will take you to the shop page where you can shop products
- At checkout, you can enter a password to create an account and save the artwork to your personal family art gallery!
These make great gifts and a percentage of every purchase goes right back to our school. Have fun creating and shopping!
