For those of you who are new to this mailing list or need a refresher: My name is Tiana Conyers, I'm a fat, Black, queer illustrator in Omaha, Nebraska.

2020 has been quite a troubling yet momentous year! Let's scroll a little further and recount some of my top achievements from this year!
▪︎Did a presentation about my coming out journey at Marrs Middle’s Diversity Club. ▪︎2/9 - Made my first online store sale ▪︎2/22 - First Kaneko event/Unapologetically Me @ The Kaneko ▪︎4/17 - Asked to illustrate “We Thrive in Middle Spaces”. ▪︎7/1 - We fundraised $1,414.22 for an iPad & Apple Pencil in 8 days!! ▪︎7/15 - I received an Amplify Arts Micro Grant. ▪︎8/2 - Received a I Be Black Girl COVID-19 Relief Small Business Grants ▪︎11/23 - “Unapologetic Me” nominated for OEAA Award. ▪︎11/23 - We Thrive In Middle Spaces Nominated for an OEAA Award. ▪︎12/8 - Do Space State of the Art speakers panel. ▪︎12/22 - Made my 50th online store sale!

Projects
We Thrive in Middle Spaces
2020 featured many first for me— that including my first project as a lead artist! "We Thrive in Middle Spaces" an illustration series featuring Omaha LGBTQIA2S+ Omahan of color appeared on five billboards across North Omaha! This lovely opportunity was commissioned by The Union for Contemporary Art. This project is supported by the Equality Fund through the Omaha Community Foundation.
I had the absolute honor of illustrating a variant cover for Issue 2 of IGNITION by Shawn Pryor.
A goal of mine has always been to illustrate covers for comics, and 2020 saw that through!

Blacktober
#Blacktober was a month long event that I and many many Black creators took part in! To view all of the works I created for this prompt, check out my portfolio page!
