When QR codes hit the scene, they seemed like a marketer’s dream. All a customer would have to do is take a picture to get directed to any content you wanted – your website, a micro-site, or even your app download. Except, that wasn’t all a customer had to do. First, they had to download a QR code reader. And often they didn’t.
 
But, thanks to the latest update to iPhone software, that middleman QR code reader is no longer necessary. Apple’s iOS 11, brought that technology right into the camera app.
