Rest is not idleness,
And to lie sometimes on the grass
Under trees on a summer’s day,
Listening to the murmur of the water,
Or watching the clouds float across the sky,
Is by no means a waste of time.
John Lubbock, The Use of Life
Pathways will be taking its annual sabbatical in stages this year.
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday’s Lectio prayer will continue through June 7. Creation Prayer will continue through June 28.
Pathways will take a sabbatical for the month of July. The land is always open for walking labyrinths and trails or sitting in a colorful chair, gazing upon the wildflower meadow.
All prayers will resume the week of August 5.

Following our July sabbatical, we will begin this modified rhythm of weekly prayer the first full week of August:
Lectio Divina followed by community conversation
Praying with Creation
Wednesdays, 7:30-8am prayer and 8-8:20am conversation
New Way-finding Signs
At seven points on the 2-miles of trails at Pathways, you will now find way-finding signs. These are numbered 1-7, and each is associated with the leaves of a native tree of Northern Indiana.
Pathways Retreat is a spiritual retreat center for
Rest, Reflection and Renewal.
