Lucy the Rescue Dog Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We offer financial assistance grants to family owned pets in need of lifesaving emergency care whose caregivers cannot afford the full cost of treatment. We are deeply concerned about how these financial hardships will impact families and their pets. We know the grim reality; at least a half-million pets a year, many with treatable medical conditions, are put to sleep because their owner can't afford treatment. It's called economic euthanasia. Unfortunately with the pandemic causing so many money problems, we expect that number to potentially skyrocket. How can you help? Donate today and help us grant money to those who need it most. There is also an annual Strut Your Mutt day to fundraise for Network Partners and Best Friends, which will be a digital event this year. That's right you can fundraise right from the comfort of your own home. It will kick off in early summer and will culminate on Strut Your Mutt Day this fall. In the meantime, be sure to sign up for ResQwalk, the mobile app that lets you fundraise simply by getting out and walking your dog.
