Welcome & Kia Ora. In September Catholic's especially remember Our Lady with four significant feast days. Mindful of her humility, trust and kindness, may we travel through this month remembering that we have much to be grateful for. Ave Maria!
Last month I created an illustration of St Mary MacKillop to serve God, spread prayer and joy for her feast day. Thank you all for the feedback and incredible positive response. I hope you enjoy this one and the story behind it.
Practicing gratitude is essential for healthy spirituality. St Ignatius taught that gratitude should be practiced daily as part of the examen prayer, and this is something I work on daily. This new insightful short video shows how we can help our kids experience all four parts of gratitude.
This stunning new time-lapse video comprises 122,000 frames captured over 54 days, over almost 40,000 miles across America in 2018/19. I do hope you take time to enjoy, reflect on our creator God and perhaps ponder these words below from from Papa Francesco. What part are we playing in the storm?
“St Therese of Lisieux invites us to practice the little way of love, not to miss out on a kind word, a smile or any small gesture which sows peace and friendship. An integral ecology is also made up of simple daily gestures which break the logic of violence, exploitation and selfishness. In the end, a world of exacerbated consumption is at the same time a world which mistreats life in all its forms." Papa Francesco - Laudato Si' (230)
