If 2020 taught us anything it was the importance of flexibility and the restorative power of time spent outdoors. As we look ahead to Nature Play Days in 2021, we want to nurture that nature play and provide maximum flexibility in planning to keep the Nature Play Day (NPD) movement alive.
This year, instead of asking host sites to register specific events, we simply ask you to register that you are hosting a Nature Play Day campaign. This will allow you maximum flexibility to adapt to ever changing COVID guidelines in your area. Your NPD efforts can be formal events, making resources available to families, or as simple as a Nature Play Day branded online campaign to encourage kids to get outside. When you register your NPD campaign, you can share your website or social media info where attendees can get up to date information on your NPD offerings between June 5th and 13th.
As always, we will make resources available to help you plan your events and we will publicize your NPD campaign via our online Nature Play Day map and via Indiana Children and Nature Network (ICAN) social media (@INkidsandnature).

What to do:
Fill out our simplified online form to “register” that you are hosting a Nature Play Day event or campaign between June 5th and 13th. You don’t have to have specifics yet-- just enter the website or contact information where participants can go to learn more about your NPD offerings. This will allow participants to access the most up to date information about your offerings directly from you!
Whether you are hosting specific events or encouraging DIY nature play in your area, we encourage you to create Facebook events and add ICAN as a host. This will allow us to share information about your events. Find us at @INkidsandnature.
Utilize ICAN NPD logos and materials to connect to the broader Nature Play Day effort across Indiana. Find resources here.
