Spotlight this week

We've well and truly settled into winter, and our culinary adventures shift towards warm, comfortable dishes.

One of our favourites during this time is sauteed green cabbage, paired with creamy mash potatoes.  Full of buttery goodness, and a perfect pairing of side dishes.  Enjoy

What you've been making...

There are so many great ways to enjoy Cauliflower: covered in cheese, in a stir fry, fresh steamed, in a creamy soup.

This week Jenni shared with us "my absolute favourite way to have cauliflower. I’m lucky if half of it makes it into a salad for dinner!".  We hear you Jenni - roast cauliflower is such a treat.

at our place this week

We've been keeping ourselves entertained with stories of wildlife exploring isolated towns and streets, from mountain goats in Wales to jellyfish in Venice.  Then we had our own action in town, when a couple of adventurous cows decided to go exploring - because really, fences are just a general guideline.  Then they found a wonderful bounty of strawberries to sample at the primary school.  Just another day in iso-life, in a country town.
