Tom's Pantry

Tom's Pantry for the week of July 7th 2020.

Baking and delivering this week!

Hello Folks. I am back from holidays and back into the kitchen.

I assembled a baking schedule on my website: http://www.tomspantry.ca/.

I will bake this Friday July 10th for pick up at my home on Friday evening.

I will attend the Vankleek Hill Farmers Market this Saturday July 11th from 9.30am to 12.30 pm. The market is now open for pre-orders and for public browsing.

I will deliver to homes on my trip on Saturday to Vankleek Hill. I will travel through Crysler, Limoges, Casselman and St-Isidore on the way there in the early morning. On my return trip in the afternoon, I will travel through Alexandria, Maxville, Apple Hill, Cornwall, Long Sault, and Finch.

I need your order please by Thursday evening 8pm in order to prepare enough levain overnight. See the product descriptions and ordering considerations here. And then, view the price list and order online with Local Line

Next week, July 16th I will be at the Parkdale Farmers Market in Ottawa and I will perform home deliveries in Ottawa and in the region west of Berwick.

There is a minimum order of two loaves for a home delivery on a scheduled route.

Take advantage of my organic flours and baking ingredients, also available in the virtual store.

A Stay-Cation in paradise!

During our holidays last week, we discovered the Parc Régional de Val-Morin-Val-David in the Laurentians just north of St-Jérome QC. It is a great park with a combination of biking and hiking trails. The park is diverse with any combination of trails and loops for almost all ages and any duration.

This week's feature is Multi-grain

We have several bread products that are rotated into production for July such as bagels, pita, and blueberry on whole wheat.

This week's feature is multigrain using a combination of flours of wheat, spelt, rye, kamut, and barley. The bread has great texture, is more dense than a white bread, and has a blend of the great flavours of rye and kamut. Even better, ask for the organic multi-grain bread with dates and organic walnuts.

Order your organic multi-grain bread for $9 each.

Shop for local food!

The Eastern Ontario Agri-Food Network launched its virtual farmers market. You can shop locally through Prescott-Russell, SDG, and Cornwall.
