Summary

Bit of a warm and dry stretch last week. Have fresh snow coming down now and more to come over the next couple days and week. We are finally hearing that the base has gotten much better (except wind prone areas)

It is currently snowing and calling for 6 - 12 inches Saturday the 1st till Sunday. Looks like we will have more snow coming next weekend as well. Long range forecast is showing 8 - 16 inches next Thur/Fri. (Hopefully that stay true but never know that far out.)

Forecast for Medicine Bow Peak at 12,000'

Next 3 days: A moderate fall of snow, heaviest on Sat afternoon. Temperatures will be below freezing (max 28°F on Mon morning, min 14°F on Sat afternoon). Mainly stormy winds.

3-6 Days: A dusting of new snow. Temperatures will be below freezing (max 27°F on Tue morning, min 16°F on Wed night). Winds increasing (strong winds from the W on Thu morning, gales from the WSW by Thu night).

6-9 Days: A moderate fall of snow, heaviest on Fri night. Temperatures will be below freezing (max 23°F on Fri morning, min -2°F on Sat night). Winds decreasing (Gales from the W on Sat afternoon, fresh winds from the WSW by Sun morning).

10-12 Days: A moderate fall of snow, heaviest on Tue night. Temperatures will be well below freezing (max 14°F on Tue afternoon, min 3°F on Wed night). Winds increasing (light winds from the SW on Mon afternoon, fresh winds from the SW by Wed morning).
