Exercise and Social Distance

Keep Smiling!

Residents of Southbridge continue to do their best to follow the CDC safety rules and precautions to avoid COVID-19. With at least two cases  reported in the Colony and several cases in Bonita Bay at this writing, be careful to:

  • Keep social distances of 6 feet.
  • Gather in groups of no more than five-ten people, still maintaining the six-foot social distance.
  • Wash hands often for 20 seconds.
  • Shop only when necessary. Wear masks when shopping. Sanitize any goods brought into the house.
  • Sanitize all surfaces regularly.
  • Keep in contact with your family and neighbors.

Several how-to videos and Websites help in keeping everyone safe.

MOLLY JEBBER: NEIGHBOR and BEST SELLING AUTHOR IS IN THE NEWS

Picture
Molly Jebber

Molly Jebber, author of best-selling Amish romance novels, was recently featured in newspapers across the Dayton and Cincinnati area. The article discusses how 12-year-old Molly dreamed of being a writer, began her writing career as a married adult, and now finds herself living in Florida and fulfilling a multi-year publishing contract.

You can read more about Molly, her books and her public appearances by accessing her Website.

CHRISTA PFISTER Displays Orchids in the Trees

ORCHIDS in the TREES

A new Southbridge beautification project by the landscaping committee will attach orchids to trees in the community. Several snowbird residents donated their orchids to the project before heading north.

If you are interested in learning more about the project, in volunteering to be on the committee, or want to donate your orchids, email [email protected] or [email protected].

WALKIN' ON THE WILD SIDE

UPDATE YOUR PERSONAL CONTACT INFORMATION;

ENABLE QUICK CONTACT DURING EMERGENCIES

Picture

As we become concerned about our health during the coronavirus crisis, we are also concerned about our neighbors. Check your contact information on the residents' list on the Website. Be sure the list has your current email address and correct cell phone number.

  • If your neighbors don't see you following your normal schedule, they may want to telephone or email to make sure that you are all right. (First responders recommend posting emergency contact numbers - doctors, children, close friends etc. - on the refrigerator.)
  • If your property is at risk during a hurricane or other natural disaster, your neighbors may want to warn you and offer to help secure the premises.

Only residents have access to the private pages to read the contact information. You can request access by going to the Login/Register tab on the Website. Update your information by emailing Bill at [email protected] .

MISCELLANEOUS MEMOS:

  • Remind your workmen to park on the pavement, not on the grass. Sprinkler heads are embedded in the grass next to the road and are easily damaged.
  • Spread the Southbridge news. Any resident, renter or interested person who has an email address is eligible to receive the Southbridge newsletter; many couples receive individual copies. Send a request to [email protected] to be added to the list. Although nonresidents may receive the newsletter, only residents have access to the private pages on the Website.
  • Check your listing in the residents' contact information on the Website. Bill Riley updates it regularly. You will need access to the private pages to read the contact information. You can request access by going to the Login/Register tab on the Website. You can update your information by emailing Bill at [email protected] .
