New Grads!

"I am grateful that I was able to experience college because my parents did not have this opportunity." - Helen

It's graduation season!

You helped SEVEN new college graduates and their families achieved their dreams this spring. Read about these resilient grads below.

Additionally, SIXTEEN socio-economically disadvantaged students from Paly's Class of 2022 are joining RTE and will receive financial assistance and one-on-one mentoring until they graduate from college!

Alert: Matching Grant Opportunity

As always, your generosity is much appreciated. Between now and May 27th, your gift will be matched up to $45,000. This will ensure that the Class of 2022 RTE scholars will be supported in colleges and universities this coming academic year. (Click here to see the schools our scholars are attending.) Help our young neighbors reach their dreams of graduating from college and give the gift of education today!

Mentors

What makes us effective? We match each scholar with an adult community member mentor. They also interact with recent college grads who are RTE alumni. Meet our terrific and committed mentors from the Palo Alto community.

Volunteer with us!

Have some time and want to do some good? We always can use a volunteer for grants, mentorship, communications and board members. Contact us to explore opportunities!

Currently, we are accepting applications for the 2022-2023 Paly Student Representatives (SRs). SRs will assist the Board with social media, PR, fundraising, advise, interview current college students, and other special projects. Time commitment: attend 1 meeting per month 5:00 to 6:30 pm every third Tuesday of the month and about 2 hours per month on projects. To apply, email <[email protected]> a statement of 250 words max explaining why you want to be considered for the role along with your name, year graduating from Paly, non-PAUSD email address and cell phone number. The deadline is May 25, 2022.

Grateful

Thank you to the Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund and the Palo Alto Community Fund for supporting our young neighbors on their road to a college degree! Thank you to the very helpful Paly students who helped us this school year: Nadia Soburg, Maya Mukherjee, Ines Legrand, Ben Szeto and Ryan Tanaka.
