An Update from our Treasurer: | |
Dear church family,
At the end of March, we shared an update on our church’s finances, anticipating that expenses would exceed income for the fiscal year ending May 31 due to lower than expected giving. With the transition to online services, the Treasurer’s Committee anticipated that the disparity between expenses and income would continue to grow.
But God is good, and you have continued to give generously! In fact, April was the second highest month of giving during this fiscal year. Thank you! For 2019-20, we are no longer projecting a need to dip into our reserves. While we continue to prepare a 2020-21 budget that will be smaller than the current budget, we do so with optimism about the great things that God has in store for the coming year. Thank you for being a partner in ministry at OCRC.
With gratitude,
Roger Kiers
Treasurer and Chair of Deacons
