Pathways Retreat’s fourth annual silent auction fundraiser was a success thanks to our generous supporters. A big thank you to all who participated by donating items, bidding, and telling others about this event. We’re already looking forward to next year’s auction and we hope you all will join us again in supporting Pathways’ mission of providing a place for Rest, Reflection, and Renewal. Upcoming Events: Breathing in Harmony with Sacred Time: A Yoga Practice for Every Body Series 2 registration is open As we enter the depths of Autumn, each class in series 2 will begin with inspiration from a Christian saint and a time of "harvesting," which will help us gather the meaningful things that are fueling our practice as we step onto our mats. Appropriate for all levels of participants, this hatha-style yoga class is designed to help us live in harmony with what Christine Valters Paintner calls sacred time, that is, “time spent being present to the moments of eternity available to us whenever we choose to pause and breathe.” Mondays 4:30-5:30pm Cost: $15/session Facilitator: Malinda Elizabeth Berry Space is limited to 9 participants each week View Schedule & Register Meditative Zentangle-inspired Art November 11, January 20, February 17; 10-11:30 Zentangle-inspired Art is the practice of mindfully drawing images from repetitive and structured patterns. It becomes a form of artistic meditation as one becomes completely engrossed in making each pattern. There are no mistakes, only opportunities in Meditative Zentangle-inspired Art! When: November 11, January 20, February 17 10 - 11:30 am Register for one class or all three Suggested donation: $25-45. All art supplies are included. Facilitator: Sylvie Gudin, artist & spiritual director Learn more and register Advent Retreat: Cultivating Awe in Advent December 2, 9am-noon Come away for a half day retreat to explore ways to incorporate awe into your daily life this Advent. Cultivating awe and wonder is shown by research to increase compassion, kindness, generosity, reduce stress and improve mood. It’s an uplifting and refreshing way to connect with God. December 2, 9am-noon Suggested donation: $30-50 Facilitator: Julie Stegelmann Register now Living that Matters for Men Back by popular demand! Saturday, December 9, 8am - noon Men, what kind of man do you want to be and how can you live a life that matters? In this half day retreat, we will: examine the scripts we've been given; explore differing expressions of masculinity; reconsider our purpose and aims in life. This retreat draws from Living That Matters: Honest Conversations for Men of Faith (Herald Press, 2023), which each participant will receive. Saturday, December 9, 8 am - noon (begins with a light breakfast) Suggested donation: $30-50 (includes the book Living That Matters ) Facilitator: Steve Thomas Space is limited to 12 participants Learn more and register Past participants of this retreat said: "Very good workshop - timely topic, well thought out." Creation Care Volunteer Event October 7, 9-11am Upcoming Dates: November 11, 1-3pm Join us for our Creation Care event this coming Saturday, October 7, from 9-11 am. These volunteer events are an enjoyable time of working outside and getting to know other volunteers. We hope to plant trees so we'd love to have as many hands as possible.
