Ridgewood Crew 2020 Fall Rowing Program


Ridgewood Crew will be providing a fall rowing program for interested youth. The program will include a returning rower - split by gender (3 days/week) and novice program (2 days/week). The program will be run from September 8 through October 31. All rowers will attend on Oct 31 for a fun end of season event. Coach Boris has reached out to other local HS team to hold fun scrimmages during the season. Note - rowers will need to provide their own transportation to/from practice. The fall program will be run following the Ridgewood Crew Covid-19 Safety Protocol (attached). We have received approval to row in multi-person boats with mandatory face masks. 

  • Girls Returning Rowers: Tues, Thurs (4:15-6:15pm), Sat (8-10:30am); $750
  • Boys Returning Rowers: Wed, Fri (4:15-6:15pm), Sun (8-10:30am); $750 
  • Novice Rowers: Sat & Sun (11:30am-2pm); $470

Board/Committee Volunteers Needed


Ridgewood Crew needs your help! At the end of the 2020-2021 school year, there will be 3 Board Members who have senior rowers graduating. The Board positions can be done by one person, but if there are 2 individuals who would like to split the responsibilities that will work also, but one person will need to be the point person for Board representation/decisions. Also, the Fundraising Committee has immediate openings. Below are the descriptions of the volunteer oportunities and point person. 


Board member has a senior rower & position is open beginning Summer 2021

  • Secretary: Kelly Aherne ([email protected]917-952-5755). Attend monthly meetings and take notes. Sends Board meeting notices and records Board decisions. Maintains Ridgewood Crew Foundation, Inc. documents.
  • VP, Administration: Ann Hida ([email protected]; 917-664-7681). Develops and tracks registrations & forms, processes rower eligibility & membership, responds to inquiries, liaises with RHS, and updates/maintains team calendar. 
  • VP, Logistics: Judy Wong ([email protected]; 415-717-1042). Coordinates maintenance and proper storage of all equipment, coordinates transportation of equipment to and from events, rower transportation (regatta and practice) and lodging at select events, overseeing parent and rower tent operations. 

Committee Opportunities - immediate

  • Fundraising: Ann Hida ([email protected]; 917-64-7681). Immediate need for a Fundraising Committee Chair and committee members. The committee is responsible for organizing the fundraising events for the year and soliciting corporate donations. The events include fall wine tasting, super party, row-a-thon, car wash, and bake sales. Ridgewood Crew is fully self-funded, and this position is key to allowing us to continue to provide quality coaches and equipment for our rowers!

Erg Rental Returns

To those that rented ergs during the summer, please arrange to have the ergs dropped off. See details below.
