| APRIL NEWSLETTER 2019 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Elizabeth L. During Elizabeth's twelve years dancing at Allegro, she has demonstrated strong leadership skills, organization, and professionalism. Elizabeth's talents will be on display April 12 as she premiers her original choreography in an innovative piece titled SuperCut at the 2019 R.E.D. performance. She has also taken on the role of stage manager for the production. Elizabeth has many fond memories of Allegro, both on stage and off. One of her favorite roles on stage was that of the Rat Queen in The Nutcracker. An off stage Allegro memory that Elizabeth will always cherish was her time in Miss Jen's Ballet 3 class. Elizabeth remembers, "It was a huge class, I had lots of friends in it, and we had so much fun!" Next year Elizabeth will be attending St. Olaf College where she plans to double major in physics and computer science. She also plans to join their dance company. Elizabeth credits Allegro for teaching her "a lot about hard work and dedication" which will undoubtedly prove beneficial as she embarks on this ambitious new journey. Elizabeth really does have her eye on the future--she loves outer space and her dream is to be an astrophysicist. Congratulations, Elizabeth! We wish you a successful future! R.E.D. Buy Tickets here! Congratulations to Avery C, Allegro's April Student of the Month! Twelve-year-old Avery C. was nominated by Miss Kathy. Avery is taking Ballet 2 and Tap 2 classes with Miss Kathy, as well as volunteering as a Student Assistant for Miss Kathy's Acro Jr class. Miss Kathy said: "Avery is a joy to have in class! She is a consistent and conscientious hard worker. The kids in my Acro Jr class love her sweet demeanor, too!" Mr. Austin reports that Avery has gained confidence in her skills and abilities in Acro 3 this year, as well. Avery moved out of her comfort zone in December when she auditioned for R.E.D. She admits she was a little apprehensive at first, but she has been enjoying the new experience and is really looking forward to the production in April. Congratulations, Avery!
