pto thanks out donors!
Last week, the PTO sent out a message asking for donations to purchase grocery gift cards for vulnerable PVSD families during this extraordinary time. Well, the response was overwhelming! So many of you donated, that we raised over $15,000 to distribute immediate assistance to vulnerable families in our district! We know we live in a special community, but all of your generosity and kindness is truly humbling. Our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you!
If you or someone you know in PVSD could benefit from immediate financial assistance, please reach out to Superintendent Roberta Zarea ([email protected])

A Message from the Woodside Fire Department about teen gatherings
"We have been seeing groups of kids out riding bikes and hanging in groups. This worries us for obvious reasons. We know you are all doing the best you can to establish distance learning and provide a structured learning environment wherever they may be. What can we do better to keep teens from congregating?"
PVSD community - please keep your teens (and any returned college students) from congregating in groups. We suggest your teens read this article originally published on March 13th.
"Social Distancing: This is not a snow day" By Asaf Bitton, MD, MPH, Adrienne Labs
Here are some ideas for how teens can congregate online instead:
- Watch a movie together online using Netflix Party!
- Virtual yoga with one another using Zoom.
-
Virtual game nights Online Cards Against Humanity, Quiplash and more...
- Minecraft Realm meetups
-
Strava - Out-do one another virtually on their solo bike rides and runs using this social network for athletes.
