THANK YOU from the pto for your donations!
Parents, thank you so much for the tremendous donations you've given to the PTO in the last few weeks.
Your gifts have offset the drop in our other sources of funding and will help the PTO continue to offer the popular programs and events that bring our community together.

PTO Thank you!
THANK YOU Anne Fazioli-Khiari & Sally Aalfs for organizing Ormondale’s Cultural Arts Programs for this school year. We are looking forward to the many music, dance, animals and more assemblies you have set up for our students!

earth doMe assembly!
One of the many programs our PTO funds with your generous donations, is our Cultural Arts Program. ORM’s first assembly of the school year will be Earth Dome on Monday 9/17!
The Earth Dome is a gigantic inflatable earth balloon standing 19-feet high and 22-feet in diameter. It's made of 24 huge panels silkscreened with photographs shot from satellites of the surface of the world on cloud free days. It has been used extensively across the United States to educate students about geography as well as environmental issues.

This assembly allows students and teachers (in small groups throughout the day) to have a 45-minute presentation both outside as well as inside the balloon. They will see and better understand the scale of concepts such as continents, time zones, latitude, longitude, and more!

Endowment Grant Spotlight
Did you know that PV Schools Foundation provides endowment grants to teachers, aides and administrators twice a year?
These grants provide funds for classroom projects, training and innovative learning.
This week, students at Ormondale enjoyed Lunchtime Art Club, a grant-funded, additional place for students to visit during lunchtime to explore creativity and promote social emotional learning.
Thank you to Ms. Hovland, Mrs. Miller and parent Sarah Vicenzo for requesting this exciting grant!

Vote YES on Z for Ormondale and Corte Madera!
This November, we have the opportunity to vote YES on Measure Z to upgrade and renovate Ormondale and Corte Madera schools. As you may know, some of our classrooms and school facilities, 30 to 60 years ago, need extensive repairs and updates. These immediate needs are straining school budgets.
Measure Z on the November ballot will upgrade our PVSD schools — all funds will stay in our community.
Measure Z will:
- Replace classrooms for science, technology and art instruction at both schools,
- Replace leaking roofs, plumbing and electrical systems,
- Upgrade outdated facilities, classrooms and security systems to improve school security and meet current safety codes, and
- Update educational facilities to keep pace with 21st century teaching and learning.
