ITAT Presidency Fall Leadership Conference

On September 18th, 2021, Provo High School ITAT hosted the annual Fall ITAT leadership conference. The presidencies from each ITAT club attended this conference to learn leadership skills, tobacco education, and mental health skills to pass on to the rest of their club members. The students participated in several workshops focused on the following topics: mental health, vaping, team building, leadership, advocacy and role playing. Each presidency also prepared a team cheer to perform for the other students as part of their introductions.

Poly Days at Thanksgiving Point

On labor day weekend, Queen Center had a tabling booth at Polynesian Days at Thanksgiving Point. Our students and advisors manned the booth and educated the event attendees on Queen Center and ITAT missions. They also provided tobacco and vaping education, gave out our "Be smart, dont start" Smarties candies, and signed up students for ITAT clubs.

  • Each year smoking kills more people than AIDS, alcohol, drug abuse, car crashes, murders, suicides, and fires COMBINED!
  • More than 400,000 people die from smoking each year -- one out of every five deaths in the U.S, that's the same as three fully loaded jumbo jets crashing each day with no survivors!
  • Each day 2,000 young people will take their first puff on a cigarette. 300 will become regular smokers. That's more than 2000 per year. One out of three of them will die from a disease caused by their smoking.
