SECOND HARVEST

Virtual Food Drive - Dec. 1 to 18 Our holiday Food Drive for Second Harvest Food Bank has long been an important tradition at Ormondale.  Unfortunately, because of COVID their traditional food drive program has been placed on hold, which means we will not be able to have any barrels placed at Ormondale this holiday season. So now, we get to practice our Ormondale life skill of flexibility as we move to a Virtual Food Drive for 2020.

For more information and to donate securely you can go here: https://impact.shfb.org/ormondale

GIVING THANKS FOR OUR HANDS OF THANKS

Thank you to all of the teachers and students that contributed to our Ormondale Hands of Thanks. It was wonderful to see so many words of gratitude welcoming us onto campus. Indeed this has been an immensely challenging year…but there is still so much for which to be grateful.  Our kids agree!

Please treat yourselves to a look at The Ormondale “Hands of Thanks” display—please click here to see the photo album.

THANK-FALL PROJECT

Thanks so much to our 4th and 5th grade teachers and students for being part of our “Thank-Fall” project. Hopefully you saw the display at school but you can also click here for the photo album of the collection.

We are so grateful to have reasons to smile inside of this intense year and CMS is most definitely one of them! So many of the kids listed school and teachers as things they are grateful for and we parents are so grateful for CMS and all of its teachers and staff too!

CMS PRINCIPAL CHAT

There will be a CMS Principal Chat on Wednesday, December 9th at 8:15am for 4th/5th grade families interested in learning about our 6th grade program at CMS. Mr. Patterson and Ms. Shima will share information about what 6th grade looks like in a "normal year" and what it looks like this year. This presentation will be repeated in May for parents and should have more specifics about the 2021-2022 school year at that time.

The toy drive starts on Tuesday, December 8th and there will be large grade level bins outside of CMS for students to drop in a toy if they choose to participate!
