MEMBER OF THE MONTH

Carol Hubbard - Member for 15 Years

Carol's love of art began at a very young age when the smell of a new box of crayons on the first day of school was an inspiration. She says although my pastime often included drawing, it was my high school art teacher who was my protégé.

In 2008 Carol retired from elementary teaching and joined the Les Cheneaux Arts Council. She became the Chairwoman and held this position for 13 years.

“I am very pleased with the years the Arts Council has enhanced the opportunities for summer art classes to be enjoyed by so many residents, as well as, non-residents.”

After spending many years developing and supporting the Arts, Carol has decided to retire from the Les Cheneaux Arts Council and plans to focus on her Art and as a Board Member of the Hessel School House.
