Regions Bank Provides a Great Webinar and Helpful Tools for Success

Picture

Last week, we had a virtual Every Single Artist Lounge. It wasn't the usual time of socializing and seeing friends, we usually enjoy at our monthly meet-ups, but we had a great meeting and learned invaluable financial information. Many thanks to Alicia Somers and her team from Regions Bank, as well as Suzanne Pickett, well-known Jax artist and executive director of the Jacksonville Cultural Development Corporation. Below are links to the handouts from the meeting that provide great tips for budgeting and getting your finances in order.

The Fund For Arts and Culture

The Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville is wrapping up the first campaign of THE FUND FOR ARTS AND CULTURE, created to support local artists who’ve lost work during the coronavirus pandemic. Through individual donations and the Cultural Council's collaboration with Void Magazine and Strata Mfg., who generously donated the proceeds of their Void This Virus t-shirt, we are off to a great start through the Fill the Void: Artist Relief Funding Campaign.

With over 20 applications submitted so far, we realize the need is great in the artist community during this crisis. The Coronavirus pandemic represents a sudden, unanticipated work stoppage for many individual artists. The Fill the Void: Artist Relief Funding Campaign will provide funds directly to Duval County-based artists of all disciplines whose livelihoods in the arts have been negatively impacted by the crisis.

We need your help to be able to fund all the applicants.  Several donors contributing small amounts can add up to make a difference in someone's situation.
