CMS Spring Musical tickets available now! 

All performances at Portola Valley Theatre Conservatory:  Wednesday March 25th @ 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and Thursday March 26th @ 6:00 p.m. 

There is NO COST to attend, but due to space restrictions everyone MUST have a ticket:  https://www.pvtc-ca.org/cms-rsvp​.

VIAJANDO EN ESPAÑOL 2020

Ormondale is preparing for the annual school wide event happening on March 13th, "Viajando en Español" - this year we will have a month of crafts and learning about specific countries ("Mes Cultural") leading up to the special day.  Children and adults are encouraged to dress up in spanish influenced clothing from around the world that day to add to the fun.

In addition to classroom activities held in the morning, there will be a concert by Grupo Folklorico Los Laureles @ 11:15am in the MUR.  Parents (and non-Ormondale siblings) are welcome to attend these festive performances!   

Although the food portion of VIAJANDO has been cancelled, Volunteers are still needed to monitor exhibit tables and help decorate the MUR.  Parents and household helpers are encouraged to sign up here:

If you have any questions about how to get involved with "Viajando en Español" please talk to a lead parent, stop by room 1, or send an e-mail to Señora Covotta, Anne Fazioli-Khiari, Nelly Wolfson, Elisabeth Magana, or Daphne Melendez. It will be a LIVELY day with great performers. Hope you are "viajando" with us on March 13th.

STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK

Staff Appreciation Week (SAW) is coming up at Ormondale March 23 - 27!  Your Home Room Parent should have reached out for your help celebrating all of Ormondale's amazing staff. 

CAN YOU HELP SUPERVISE KINDER RECESS AND LUNCH? 

Please volunteer to supervise Lunch break Mon, Tues, Thurs or Fridays.  We particularly need lunch volunteers for Thursdays and Fridays. Note the sign up is organized by day of the week.  If you can commit to every Monday, it’s easy to click all the Mondays etc.  This sign up goes through the end of the year so you may have to scroll a few pages to get the day or date(s) you would like.

Also, volunteers still needed for regular recess (10:15-10:35) each day, this sign up now extends for the rest of the year as well.

8th grade pi day

Each year, the math department at CMS holds a Pi Day event for the 8th grade math students. 


The students are currently learning and memorizing the digits of Pi, and on March 13th they will showcase what they have learned!

We need a few more pies and helpers to serve. This is a great opportunity to see your 8th grader at school - one of the last times you’ll be able to do this!
