Dates: Monday, June 14th - Friday, July 9th (No School on Monday, July 5th)

Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm

SPRING SING

A big thank you to everyone who joined for the Spring Sing on Wednesday. There were so many smiles, lots of music and a few tears. What a wonderful way to bring the whole school together. Mr. White did a wonderful job leading us with his new piano and so many families were able to join. It was a truly heartwarming event.

2021-2022 ENROLLMENT

Please let Ms. Shima know if your child IS NOT planning on returning to CMS next year so CMS can accurately plan class lists for the next school year. If your child is going to continue at CMS next year, there is no need to respond. There will be more information about class offerings for next year and transition parent meetings in May.

STATE TESTING BEGINS 5/3

CMS students will be taking the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) for English and for Math. Both 5th and 8th graders will have additional testing for Science (CAST test). Testing will be done in the Homeroom classes for 4/5 students in the morning, and in middle school, these tests will be administered in their subject area classes throughout the day (i.e. Math CAASPP during their math class).

May 3- May 7: English CAASPP Testing

May 10- May 14: Math CAASPP Testing/ Start Science CAST Testing

May 17-21: Finish Science CAST Testing and Make Ups

If possible, please do not pull your child out of school for appointments during these testing weeks.

Virtual Academy Students will also need to come on campus on Wednesdays to take the CAASPP test so that it is proctored on site by CMS staff.
