Mayor Price believes building a healthy community is much more than promoting exercise and good nutrition. Dr. Robin Skrine came to Texas in October of 2006 and has quickly adapted to life here. She completed her medical training at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then traveled to New Jersey where she undertook a six year residency program in general surgery. Having completed this program in 1997 she returned to Pennsylvania to begin a practice in general surgery with an emphasis on breast diseases. Being drawn to the care of breast patients in particular, in 2002 she spent a year receiving extra training. She fine-tuned her craft with Breast Care Specialist where she worked with nationally-respected breast surgeon Dr. Mark Gittleman. She then practiced exclusively as a breast surgeon at Lehigh Valley Women’s Cancer Center until relocating to Texas. After a brief stay in Waco she joined Choice Cancer Care. In 2011 she was asked to join Texas Health Resources as the medical director of the breast program at Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital. In June of this year God has called her back to Waco to be the medical director of their breast care program at Baylor Scott and white Hillcrest. She is board certified in General Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She also holds membership in the American Society of Breast Surgeons, American Medical Association and the Texas Medical Association. At the center of her participation in outreach programs and activities within Fort Worth is the time spent sharing her expertise and passion about breast care with those in the community. Dr. Skrine will be speaking from 12Noon-12:30PM. Join the discussion!
