Don't let Big Tobacco Trick you!

On Halloween, kids go out to find tricks or treats. Big Tobacco has tricks up their sleeve in your neighborhood all year long. Tobacco companies target Pacific Islander communities by placing more advertisements in ethnic minority and low income communities. They also use cultural norms to promote smoking (see photos below). Big tobacco thinks PI's are a good target because they see us as uneducated and unconcerned about our health! Don't let them fool you with their fancy flavors, ads, and marketing strategies.

ITAT fights back by educating and advocating for smart decisions in health and life. ITAT had a tobacco education booth at the Pacific Island annual Health fair.
