Pathways Rhythms

May 2020

Picture

May the Risen Christ be with you,

lifting you from every darkness

and revealing to you the hidden life

in every death.

May you rise to every opportunity

to know God…in the love of friends,

in the beauty of creation,

and in every peak and valley

of your singular life.

May the Risen Christ bless you.

Pathways Retreat’s Mystic for the Easter season is Maxine Shonk, a Dominican Sister of Peace, living in Columbus, Ohio, and ministering as a spiritual director, retreat leader, author, and preacher.

Retreat House Closed,

Rhythm of Prayer Continues

The Retreat House will remain closed for the month of May. During this time, Pathways is pared down to its core essence: prayer, paying attention to God.

Opportunities to pay attention to God continue to be offered by Pathways through our rhythm of prayer Monday – Friday and our land, available from dawn to dusk.

Land Continues to be Open

Picture

Our trails and labyrinths remain open. We invite you to use them during these spring days as temperatures warm and days lengthen.

Time in nature may be one of the most important ways to cope with the uncertainty and stress of living with the pandemic. And slowing down to experience nature in a prayerful, mindful way may be the best way to be outdoors.

As you come to Pathways, please stay 6 feet away from other guests.

Many are experiencing rough and uncertain financial times…these next words are not for you. If you are able, please consider supporting Pathways financially so that we can continue to serve those in need of rest, reflection and renewal.

Creation Care Event

Saturday, May 9, 1:00-2:30 pm

Do you long to be outside, focused on a task with others?

Safe distances will be kept as we drag and burn brush and weed and mulch flower beds.

Let us know if you can help by texting or calling 574-202-0048.
