CALLING ALL JFKHS CLASS OF 1971 ALUMNI Our Reunion is right around the corner and we will have a record crowd for the Saturday evening (September 17) Reunion Banquet at the old JFK high school (now Willingboro's recreational Kennedy Center). Time is quickly running out to buy tickets to any of our weekend full of events. In fact, you can longer no purchase tickets via personal check and mail order . We rented the Kennedy Center on Saturday, September 17 from 1 pm to 11 pm. During the afternoon and leading up to the evening's Reunion Banquet, alumni are invited to tour the old school, meet and leisurely hangout with friends, join the decorating party, bring your memorabilia to put on display, and listen and watch alumni musicians, poets, authors, and artists at our "open mic". [email protected] Open Mic Signup Photo above: What used to be the JFK high school's administrative offices have been torn out and replaced with a large entrance lobby that opens all the way back to the old cafeteria, which is now the renovated Kennedy Center Banquet Hall. The lobby offers a great area for musicians to entertain as alumni enter the building. There is a grand piano available for our use. If we have plenty of volunteers, we can extend the open mic to cover our Friday and Sunday events, too! It's election time, VOTE!!! Choose your favorite Reunion Banquet entrees from over 70 selections. About 1/3 of those who purchased Banquet tickets have already chosen their favorite entrees (served buffet style). You can, too! If you have special dietary needs, you are not forgotten! Tell us your concerns and we will do our very best to accommodate you. Food ingredients will be clearly labelled for those who have food related issues. CATERING BALLOT No more ticket sales via mail-in checks! Sorry, time has run out. It's too late to purchase tickets to any of our events by mailing a check to our PO Box. All sales must now proceed through our website store by using a credit card or your PayPal account. WEBSITE STORE NOTICE: Change of venue for Sunday Picnic event We originally planned a Sunday, September 18 catered BBQ picnic in Willingboro's Mill Creek Park. The deadline to hire a caterer for the event passed without achieving the minimum 50-60 ticket sales needed to afford catering. However, we still have plenty of folks who wish to get together the day after the Reunion Banquet. So, after consulting those who already purchased tickets, we changed venue to the 45th Street Pub at 4303 Route 130 South, Edgewater Park, NJ. (Take Charlestown Road in Willingboro, cross Route 130, make your very first right and you are there!) The Pub is praised for great food and flexible arrangements. In fact, they can accommodate last-minute deciders, which we can not do with BBQ caterers. Please use our website store to purchase "Sunday Post-Banquet Party at the Pub" tickets.
