October 2024 Newsletter
I hope everyone is having a fantastic beginning to the fall season!
For me, fall means family gatherings and pumpkin season. My oldest daughter and I did our annual Trader Joe's pumkin/fall season kick off and stocked up! Not only do I love tea, but I absolutely love pumpkin everything! I am enjoying a bagel with Trader Joe's Pumkin Cream Cheese as we speak!
I have been testing out a lot of AI on my family history this month, especially with ChatGPT, to see how it has improved over the past 5 months and to update a presentation. One of the things I tested was generating family history songs/music. Check out the results at Creating Family History Songs with AI: Honoring Our Ancestor’s Through Music.
I had a fantastic time speaking for the UGA Summit of Excellence, again, this year, as well as joining the rest of the conference! You can read more about the fantastic event and educational presentations at UGA Summit of Excellence 2024 Recap: A Fantastic Three Days of Genealogical Learning.
This month National Hispanic Heritage Month continues. If you have Hispanic heritage, get some tips for documenting your Hispanic heritage at Preserving Your Hispanic Family History: Tips for Documenting Cultural Heritage.
I also had a great time speaking for the Pomona Valley Genealogical Society, as well as the Southern California Genealogical Society's DNA Interest Group. Learn what the DNA Group has to offer, for FREE, and how it can help you with your DNA results at Unlock the Secrets of Genetic Genealogy with the Southern California Genealogical Society's DNA Interest Group.
